INFORMATION COLLECTED BY TARGETIZE
Collection of Voluntarily-Provided Information
We collect, administrate and use information you give us or permit us to access. Information may include, but is not limited to, your name, birth date, email and physical address, telephone number, gender, social media information and profile, location (GPS) information, equipment type and gear information, activity and performance information, physical information, association with other organizations etc.
Passive Information Collection
We may automatically collect information regarding your interaction with, and use of, our Products and Services. Information we may collect includes, but is not limited to, your telephone number, Device identifier and hardware information, IP address, browser type and language, cookie information, system type, whether you have enabling software to access certain features, access times, which buttons you pressed, how long you spend on each page, referring website URLs, and other information about your interactions with us. This type of information is collected to make our products and services more useful to you. In some of our emails to You, We will use a “click-through URL” to make your experience as easy as possible. When you click on one of these URLs, You pass through our web server before arriving at your destination website. Tracking click-throughs helps us determine your interest in particular topics and helps us measure the effectiveness of our customer communications.
Information from Other Sources
We may combine information you give us with other information from Targetize sources, transactions and communications, in order to improve the products and services we provide. This may include, but is not limited to, information from direct mail, events, products and applications, or other Targetize interactions. We may also combine that information with data that is publicly available and data from third parties.
Our Products and Services are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under 13.
USE OF PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE AND NON-PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION
We may save and use your information to do the following:
(i) Enable Your Use: Enhance, customize and personalize your Targetize experiences and communications. Use Targetize features, such as paddling sessions routes, race registrations and performance, placing an order and other activities
(ii) Operate, Improve and Analyze: Operate, provide, improve and maintain Targetize’s Products and Services, including analyzing user behavior and trends; Offer you new applications, improve such applications and conform them to your needs; Send you administrative messages and other information about Targetize; Communicate with you about your purchase, account information or customer service.
(iii) Provide and Conduct marketing and promotions: Communicate with you about our products, services and events, and for other promotional purposes; Administer contests, promotions, events, surveys or other features; Display relevant marketing to you.
SHARING OF PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE AND NON-PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION WITH THIRD PARTIES
Personally Identifiable Information (PII) is data that includes a personal identifier like your name, email or address, or data that could reasonably be linked back to you. We will only share this data under the following circumstances:
Targetize Inc. – We may provide your information to Targetize, Inc. companies and affiliates (“Targetize Inc.”), some of which may be outside the U.S.
Service Providers – We may transfer your information to Targetize Inc. service providers to conduct our business. For example, they may handle credit card processing, shipping, data management, email distribution, market research, information analysis, and promotions management. These companies are obligated by contract to safeguard any PII they receive from us. We may also share your information to administer features (e.g. race registration, or training routine).
By Law or to Protect Rights – (i) We may disclose information upon governmental request, in response to a court order, when required by law, to enforce our policies, or to protect our or others’ rights, property or safety; (ii) We may share information to prevent illegal uses of Targetize’s Products and Services or violations of the General Terms and Conditions, or to defend ourselves against third-party claims. We may also share information with companies assisting in fraud protection or investigation.
Business Transfers – Your information may be transferred to a third party as a part of our business assets in a sale of a part or all of Targetize. If this should happen, notice will be provided by posting to the website or other form of communication.
NON-PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION we may share under the circumstances above and we may share or sell with partners and the public in a variety of ways, such as reports about health. Appropriate procedures been taken by us so that data does not identify you.
Default Sharing – When you join or use certain services, you agree to publicly share a basic amount of information, which may include your username, location and activity level.
Privacy Settings and sharing you choose –
You can change the privacy settings applicable to your account. In this way, you can decide, to a certain extent, if personally identifiable information is collected with respect to your registration and define who can see personally identifiable information that is collected.
Training data, such as length and type of workouts, pulse rates, etc., is transmitted to Targetize by default, after every completed activity.
Special notice regarding “Create a Community” feature: Our Products and Services may include a “Create a Community” feature, which enables third parties to see the route and data of such user’s activity on Targetize’s Products and Services. By using the feature, the user accepts the responsibility for such activation at his own risk and peril. If the user does not want to give third parties access to his training route and data, then the „Create a Community” feature should be disabled. The user’s privacy settings can be configured accordingly.
Targetize Sharing – Information that is publicly shared may be used by Targetize for promotional purposes.
We use reasonable security measures, including authentication tools, to help protect your information.
Please be aware, however, that Targetize cannot guarantee 100% the security or confidentiality of the information you provide to us. You transmit information to us at your own risk.
Targetize automatically collects information within our Products and Services or stored by your browser or Device. We use a variety of methods to collect this information, including, but not limited to, cookies and pixel tags/web beacons (“Collection Tools”).
“Cookies” are text files that are sent by servers to web browsers and stored on your computer. We may use both session Cookies (which expire once You close Your web browser) and persistent Cookies (which stay on Your computer until You delete them) to provide You with a more personal and interactive experience on the Site. Persistent Cookies can be removed by following Internet browser help file directions. If You choose to disable Cookies, some areas of the Site may not work properly.
Web beacons and pixel tags are images embedded in a webpage or email for the purpose of measuring and analyzing usage and activity. Targetize, or third party service providers acting on our behalf, may use web beacons and pixel tags to help us analyze usage and improve our functionality.
Turning off collection tools: If you turn off certain Collection Tools, you may not have access to many features that make your experience more efficient and some of our services and features may not function properly. Note that our websites may not recognize or respond to Do Not Track (DNT) headers from web browsers.
Third Party Tracking: We also work with other companies who use tracking technologies to serve ads on our behalf across the Internet. These companies may collect information about your interaction with us, including advertising. These companies may not recognize or respond to DNT headers from web browsers. Modifying or deleting information: You can modify or delete your profile within certain Targetize services, through your account. Your information previously posted may still be publicly viewable. Targetize may keep information and content in our backup files and archives.
Communication/Unsubscribe/Opt-out: Regardless of the settings you select, Targetize may send you service-related communications. To unsubscribe and stop receiving messages, please change your settings or follow the instructions in the email, text message, notification or other message type.
Our digital operations are conducted, in whole or in part, in the United States. Regardless of where you live, you should know that you are transferring your personal data outside of your region and into the U.S for storage and processing. By providing your personal data to us through your use of the Products and Services, you agree to that transfer, storage, and processing in the U.S. Also we may transfer your data from the U.S to other countries or regions in connection with storage and processing of data, fulfilling your requests and operating the Products and Services. You should know that each region can have its own privacy and data security laws, some of which may be less stringent as compared to those of your own region.
